Hello friends! I've had a lot of fun sifting through my boxes full of old pictures lately, and have acquired several new boxes full of vintage fun at recent auctions. I can get carried away for hours thinking of captions to go with some of the unusual family photos or individual portraits.
For some of you readers that might be new to my blog, you simply must visit some of my older posts when my dear friend, photographer Joshua Smith, was a "guest" blogger. He was kind enough to share some valuable tips about photography with us. His initial post was so popular, I invited him back a second time for more lessons in his craft for those of you interested in improving your own skills (wink). You can also download and save his images for your own art, such as collage work, if you wish.
I invited Mr. Smith back a third time, when he was all excited about his employee of the month at Joshua Smith Studios, Miss Caroline Wilkins. Perhaps you'll want to visit his post here to learn about the talented Miss Wilkins and get some ideas for holiday hairstyles! Yes, I've had a lot of fun with my dear friend, Mr. Joshua Smith!
Here's a hairdo you might want to try.....or not!
I've created a little holiday card with a curious family photo I found in a box, just for you, with my special brand of humor:
I hope you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever else you may be celebrating!

Oh, dear God up in Heaven. My stomach literally hurts from laughing so much at Mr. Joshua Smith's previous posts; I'm having trouble catching my breath (and not just because my asthma is kicking up a bit); I'm still blinking tears from my eyes; and, er--forgive me--mucus is still pouring out of my nose. You are just too darned funny... brilliant stuff!!♥
No offense to the Baby Jesus, but these posts have been the highlight of my Christmas Eve!!
Wishing you a very merry Christmas, Mitzi,
Pat
P.S. UPDATE: I wrote this Christmas Eve and forget to send it. *eek* I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday!

Hi Pat,
Sorry for the slow response, Im on vacation and we dont have a computer hook-up! Im at the public library.....anyway, Im so glad you enjoyed my dear friend, Mr. Joshua Smiths photography tips! He tries so hard, and never loses his enthusiasm for his craft!
Regarding the Christmas card, Im hoping that grouchy family was typically happy, but just didnt like the person who took their photo....
Happy New Year!
